Howk sustained a T4 spinal cord injury in 2007 after a 12-foot fall, paralyzing him below the sternum. He joined his childhood friends in Portugal. The Man in 2015, navigating global tours as a wheelchair user and fiercely advocating for ADA accessibility in music venues and treatment centers. Freaque (mpls) - Gabriel Rodreick lives with a spinal cord injury and creates art that directly confronts the realities of living in a paralyzed body. Using a “dark, dank, and dirty artistic voice,” he explores the intersection of decay, eroticism, and life, bringing a profoundly unique perspective to the local scene. Zoe Says Go - All proceeds from their album sales go directly to Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, highlighting their deep commitment to spinal cord injury research and recovery.
