Liz Draper, Crystal Myslajek, Chris Hepola as "Rain Fields"

Patio Show NO COVER Rain Fields brings together upright bassist Liz Draper, drummer/pianist Chris Hepola, and vocalist/pianist Crystal Myslajek. The trio draws from a wide array of genres and influences including ambient, pop, jazz and improvisation to create mesmerizing, oceanic songs. Liz Draper has played with everyone from Sub-Pop's Grammy nominated slow-core band Low to Smithsonian recording artist folk troubadour Charlie Parr. Liz is a 2021 American Composers Forum awardee for her solo work and is currently touring with 2 time Grammy nominated songwriter Iris Dement. Chris Hepola organizes many ensembles including the House on Fire Band and The Real Chuck Norad and works to create musical environments that allow for open improvisation and personal expression. Crystal Myslajek is a Minneapolis-based musical collaborator known for her deeply emotive and ethereal vocals. Crystal has composed music and performed in numerous projects and bands including IE and Brute Heart, and released original music on several indie labels.
