Based in Minneapolis, MN, The Weeping Covenant is headed by vocalist and songwriter, Michael Beatrez. Writing from a lyrically driven perspective, he generally touches on themes of hope, vulnerability, and love. Michael leans into his comfortable sweet spot by singing over soft fingerstyle guitar and evocative piano ballads. The music of The Weeping Covenant is rooted in Americana storytelling, carried forward with soaring vocals, and tender refrains supported by thoughtful piano arrangements. www.facebook.com/twcovenant Alec Watson is a Minneapolis based musician and songwriter. Working from various songwriting and improvising traditions, his music includes lonely parlor songs, minimalist folk repetitions, and sweetly confessional drone ballads. In 2025 Watson released “DPCD Sings live at the Candlelight Inn in Beloit Wisconsin” — a high-concept radio play album that takes place in a fictional supper club in a ruined midwestern city.
