★ racket - Hanging outside after work while a duo from Mongolia and Xinjiang works an electronically dub wise twist on traditional Tuvan stringed instrumentation and throat singing? That sounds like a great Wednesday evening.
TAIGA is an electronic duo from Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang, blending traditional sounds with modern techniques to create a new kind of psychedelic, nomadic music. Rooted in Mongolian musical heritage, they combine khoomei — traditional throat singing — with horse-head fiddle, Tuvan doshpuluur, and electronics to create a unique take on dub, trance, and EDM.
