synth pop duo from MPLS "Imagine early-era Boy Harsher jamming with Nine Inch Nails in space disco suits" Born in a garage/art space on weekends when the world shutdown.The garage became a haven to escape to and celebrate life together.We were drinking and listening to music together and one day started singing along. One thing led to another and we started making their own songs. Jerry’s musical journey began in the 80s with walkman and boom boxes and the synth pop heaven of Madonna and New Order, and then 90s alternative rock like NIN and Nirvana and later 2000s rave music to the eventual bedrock inspiration of the Knife, gusgus and Underworld. Wendy was into Columbia house CDs of pop megastars like Celine Dion and Ace of Base and Salt n Pepa. Her small town roots also exposed here to country artists like the chicks, Shania Twain, and Lean Rhimes. Wolfabycup is a mashup of underground pop styles and mainstream Pop hooks. The dark synths and trance inspired melodies synthesize with Wendy’s dreamy vocals and searching lyrics to make something beautiful.
