A noise that gets louder everyday, and is never quite the same with each iteration. Amassing over 400,000 listeners over the last decade, collaborating with Adrian Young and Todd Foreman of No Doubt and Sublime respectively, performing alongside the Dresden Dolls, and independently assembling a 48 show, six week tour of house shows for over 3000 ravenous attendees (hosted by equally ravenous fans themselves), Johnny Manchild has broken down every conventional method in this pursuit of creating and exposing his music. With five albums under his belt, and his new self-produced album, “Side Effects” slated for 2026, Johnny Manchild has shown no sides of resting until the noise subsides; though the odds of that happening anytime soon are growing smaller everyday. Friend of a Friend Friend of a Friend formed in the summer of 2020 after a lifetime just missing each other. Karma & The Killjoys Karma and the Killjoys is classical piano turned rock band. Loud key-smashing chords dueling with gritty electric guitar, powerful, raw female voices and a thick chorus of harmonies is the strange and compelling concoction the band calls piano-rock. Ever pushing the bounds of what that means, Karma and the Killjoys expand their musicality with every song, both embracing and defying the genre–and therefore defining it. PIG, the industrial project of English musician Raymond Watts, has announced the PIG “Hurt People Tour”, a North American run of 45 shows in fall 2026 in support of the album “Hurt People Hurt“, released May 22, 2026 via Metropolis Records. The tour starts on August 26 in St Paul at Amsterdam. Featuring tour support from Chicago's Cyanotic and with special guests Absynthe Of Faith.PIG is the long-running industrial rock project of English musician Raymond Watts, which he formed in 1988 after earlier work in London, Hamburg, and West Berlin. “There’s nothing like sipping a Capri Sun in present Nostalgia” old waves meet new ways. Feed your impulse. Cherokee Social is an Indie Pop duo that sounds like a 5 piece. The lead singer Julian Navarro started out on drums as early as 3 years old and quickly graduated to bass, vocals, guitar, and pro tools as he grew up in the Baltimore music scene. Almost being signed 3 separate times throughout his career he finally started taking off when he moved to Denver and rebranded his project from Faceless Ones to Cherokee Social. Shortly after this rebrand he picked up guitarist Alex Creighton who brought energetic guitar solos and added staged energy to the band. After a few months of playing together they sold out their first headlining show in Denver in January 2024. This trend continued as they started playing with acts like Macy Gray and Fitz and the Tantrums. In summer 2025 they embarked on a 6 week west coast tour where they explored the most beautiful places in California and Washington, making content, making fans, and eventually using the experience to inspire their first EP “The Garden”. A collection of reverb heavy, meaning packed, hard hitting indie bangers. The months following this release have been spent preparing to release a handful of EPs and singles throughout 2026. These releases will come with a tidal wave of content and shows around the country which will stand to prove if Cherokee Social can become a household name in modern indie music.

Carbon Leaf’s fifteenth studio album, Time is the Playground is both a call to action and an embrace of the moment. Marrying nostalgic storytelling to nuanced, folk-infused indie rock, the Richmond, Virginia band embroiders heartfelt melody and harmony with acoustic and electric instrumentation to create a 12-song rumination on time, love and personal growth that’s equal parts urgent epiphany and contented exhalation. “Everybody says people don’t listen to albums anymore,” mulled Carbon Leaf frontman Barry Privett, holed up in a coastal cottage. “So, the challenge for us was to make something that felt good to get through from beginning to end … to listen to like a story.” Originally formed as a college cover band in 1992 and with over 3,500 famously enthused live shows together, Carbon Leaf helped to define the aughts indie rock that they ultimately outgrew and outlasted. They first earned national recognition with “The Boxer,” a song that won the American Music Awards 2002 New Music Award and made Carbon Leaf the first unsigned band to perform before millions on the AMAs. “The Boxer” entered regular radio rotation, Carbon Leaf’s tours grew bigger and better, and within a couple of years they quit their day jobs and inked a record deal. The band’s fanbase snowballed, drawn to their infectious spirit of commitment, empathy, communion, and self-reliance – not to mention supremely crafted songs with ultra-relatable, thought-provoking lyrics. After a trio of charting albums for Vanguard Records, multiple songwriting awards and headlining shows, Carbon Leaf opted to return to the complete creative control of their indie roots. Guitarist Terry Clark, who co-founded the band with Privett and multi-instrumentalist Carter Gravatt, converted his garage into the band’s Two-Car Studio, where they’ve recorded releases for their own Constant Ivy imprint ever since. Carbon Leaf’s DIY spirit even extended to re-recording their three Vanguard albums in order to regain the rights. Due in September, Time is the Playground is Carbon Leaf’s first full-length album in a decade, during which they released two EPS and a 27-song live performance album and Blu-ray. Time is the Playground gathers the best of songs written, in fits and starts, over 15 years, alongside brand new ideas. Privett dusted off old demos and shut himself away for months to finish their stories, while also honing recent compositions. With Clark engineering, Carbon Leaf – completed by longtime bassist Jon Markel and drummer Jesse Humphrey – spent a year and a half recording and mixing the resulting songs. “Thinking about these disparate pieces of music, I began ruminating on time itself,” Privett recalled. “The band’s been together a long time. You mature a bit and see yourself in place on the timeline … rolling around the scenes of love and growth.” Masterfully melding saturated AC/DC guitar and squelchy Cars synth, “Backmask 1983” is a fun flipbook of evocative era emblems – Farah Fawcett, “Satanic Panic,” Time Life Books, Bigfoot and more – that traverses the simultaneous nexus of Privett’s childhood/adolescence and theworld’s analog/digital ages. It’s about morphing into a new person and a new planet with wide-eyed wonder and a longing to believe. “Without a whole lot of information, the mystery of things felt so heightened,” recalled Privett of growing up pre-Internet. “I wanted to capture some of that but also have fun with it.”

Tour of the Beast 2026 Patrick Wolf released his first E.P. at the age of 19, a groundbreaking debut of classical, folk, and electronic music that set the pace for a stellar decade, releasing seven self-produced and solely written albums and performing multiple laps around the globe on tour, amassing an ever-growing and dedicated, spellbound audience. A viola, piano, dulcimer, harp, lyre, and tenor guitar player, Patrick’s decade of critically acclaimed work, touring, joining Patti Smith's band, collaborations with Florence Welch, Marianne Faithful, Angelo Badalamenti, and rapid, stellar ascent led to a sudden retreat from the industry where a decade of personal trial ended with a renaissance and reconnection with his work and vocation, documented in a feature film biopic documentary slated for release at the end of this year, executive produced by Tilda Swinton. Last year, he released his seventh album “Crying the Neck”, an end-of-summer folkloric odyssey set in the landscape at the end of the East of England where Wolf lives and works.
